I still, to this day, have a lot of very romantic ideas about space, and how humans across the world (can) collaborate on it. How the ISS is, despite problems, largely a really good example of how people from very opposing countries politically can work together on something bigger than them. I hope that we can achieve that going into the future. I'm choosing to hold onto that hope... even as it seems less likely day by day. #space #hope

@Vivaldi Is there something blocking Proton VPN on Linux for updating Vivaldi? A month or more ago I set Proton VPN up on my Linux Mint (22.2 Cinnamon) with Kill Switch enabled. Everything is forced to go through the VPN connection on my laptop. The only real issue I've had with this since setting up is updating Vivaldi via either sudo apt update or the Update Manager: Vivaldi, installed via the Vivaldi Deb repo, times out consistently. The more time passes, the more convinced I am at the importance of people owning their own personal computer. Laptop or desktop, doesn't matter. But having a machine that you own, or at least a shared family computer, is, if not a right, then at least a privilege we should fight not to lose entirely to rented cloud compute. Looking over the past decade-ish, I don't think this can even be called alarmist anymore. It really feels like The Powers That Be are trying, little bit by little...

The dev is stating clearly on Reddit (for months now) that they've been in the red, financially speaking, for quite some time.
