  do I know anyone who has used RSSI from BTLE or WiFi APs as an ad-hoc positioning system? i.e. your device knows where N different beacons are in space, and figures out roughly where it is by extrapolating from their RSSIs. would love to chat about it and get some idea of how good the reliability and spatial resolution is, especially in crowds.   @whitequark@social.treehouse.systems not a clue, tbh. I'm not super familiar with the details of the memory model on these MPUs. I'm just following the wizard in CubeMX. within CubeMX it's just DRAM bringup, clock tree, and some peripheral config on the Boot side. then on the Application side I've got some more stuff like wolfSSL. my assumption, based on some examples and guides I looked through, was that the Boot part runs from SRAM, brings up DRAM, then the larger Application...

  hmm. I'm confused. looking at an STM32MP1 series MPU in STM32CubeMX. it supports bare metal mode with FreeRTOS. I configured it to have 2Gbit (512MiB) of LPDDR2. export it to STM32CubeIDE. build it. failed. it says it can't fit the generate ELF's bss into the SRAM region (the actual issue is that the total of .text, .data, and .bss won't fit). the DRAM bringup code is already part of the boot context. what am I missing here?
