  My god the predictive code completion model in #Xcode is bad. It hallucinated a parameter to a parameterless function I just wrote. On a class called `Config` I have ```swift func transitions() -> [Transition] { … ``` Then in another class I wrote: ```swift let transitions = ``` And it autocompleted to ```swift let transitions = config.transitions(for: config.countdown) ``` WTF Xcode. At least `countdown` is an actual property on Config, but WTF.

  I’m in a park (Gravelly Point) and I rebooted my phone because the camera started acting up. (Both Camera app and Halide.) Upon restart I get a "Software updated" screen and then a screen that **REQUIRES** a WiFi network to continue. I'M IN A FUCKING FIELD. THERE IS NO WIFI HERE. REBOOTING YOUR PHONE SHOULD NOT DISABLE IT. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, APPLE.

  My old Mac Pro won’t start from the macOS partition, so I’m trying to reinstall macOS. I’ve booted from the installer, and I’m using Terminal to copy files to another drive so I can wipe the main one. I set a `cp *` going and walked away. When I came back, the computer was… asleep… mid file copy. At least it’s continuing, but it’s not done yet. Is there any command that will keep macOS from sleeping? This is in Terminal in the high sierra installer, so I don’t have access to system preferences...

  Fucking autocomplete. I'm trying to help my ex-wife troubleshoot a wifi issue at our old house. Every time I type netgear it autocorrects to nether, and every time I type orbi it autocorrects to orbit. Even though I've been typed and corrected those two words dozens of times over the last few hours.

  Apropos of my just finishing the Agent Carter show. I'm working my way through the MCU, and WTF is up with the end of Agent Carter? They just drop the ending like that? I was hoping at *least* she would get with someone, need to go into protection, change her last name to Coulson, then have a kid. But no. It just ends with a stereotypical character dismissal, a smooch, and a murder. Then nothing. So disappointing and unfulfilling. It didn't even really advance the plot of the univers...

  Fucking Xcode. When I manually trigger a build, the build succeeds. When I try to run a test, the build fails. I go to the build error, and the little red failure triangles DISAPPEAR AFTER A FEW SECONDS. And still a manual build succeeds but building to run the tests fails, and the errors are gone. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. Turns out I have a file that somehow got added to the test build target. Would be nice if there was some way to surface that error instead of, you know, MAKING THE ERROR MES...

  Sometimes automating things leads to dumb outcomes. I was on I-66 westbound, which turns into a toll road at 3 PM. I crossed the last gate at 15:00.36 and the system charged me a $0.65 toll. I have no idea why it didn't automatically deduct from my EZPass, since it was in the car, and they didn't find and charge the account even though it is linked to my license plate.   Weird. I have Gemma 4 running locally. When I configured Claude Code to run against it my prompt took 15 minutes to complete. When I sent the exact same prompt to OpenCode running against it I got a very similar answer in 20 seconds.
