I’m in a park (Gravelly Point) and I rebooted my phone because the camera started acting up. (Both Camera app and Halide.)
Upon restart I get a "Software updated" screen and then a screen that **REQUIRES** a WiFi network to continue.
I'M IN A FUCKING FIELD. THERE IS NO WIFI HERE.
REBOOTING YOUR PHONE SHOULD NOT DISABLE IT.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, APPLE.

Ironically, plugging this phone into my MacBook enables the personal hotspot, which still works, and is how I'm posting. Yes, I'm posting from my laptop while sitting in a field next to an airport under the flight line using the hotspot from my phone that I cannot unlock until I get to wifi. What a world.

I get these two screens, and then I'm fucked. I mean stuck. And then I'm stuck. And fucked. Until I get back to civilization. @mwichary@mastodon.online and @gruber@mastodon.social will love that second screenshot.
