What is the latest on a potential Fedora Verified program for contributing to the project? Here are the results from the survey we did a few weeks ago. Long story short, the community wants to make sure we value code and non-code contributions, make it easy for new people to join, not be strict when someone stops being "verified", and more. The Fedora Council is taking all of this in as it considers next steps for this program. Thank you for your feedback! ➡️ https://fedorama...

Sometimes the easiest option to install Fedora is to start clean and wipe away everything in your storage. Other times you want to install Fedora in an NVMe drive and keep third party apps on the hard disk that came with your laptop. How to choose? The fun one of course! ➡️ https://fedoramagazine.org/installing-fedora-linux-across-two-disks/ #Fedora #Linux #OpenSource #Xfce

Getting a package into Fedora takes more than writing a spec file, and Jakub Kadlčík has spent a decade figuring out exactly where the friction is. As a Copr developer and maintainer, Jakub has been building tools to fix the parts of Fedora packaging that frustrate contributors. Join us as we learn how Jakub: * Introduced automated CI to the package review queue * Made a sponsor-finder tool for new contributors * Thinks we should move to @forgejo@floss.social ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/watc...

What does bootc look like when it's actually running in production, not just in a lab? James Harmison joins the Fedora Podcast to talk about building custom bootc images across wildly different contexts: NVIDIA drivers, AGX Orin hardware with custom kernel RPMs, replacing RHCOS images in OpenShift, and even a stripped-down SteamOS-style couch gaming rig. ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_ZzEIvNySc #Fedora #FedoraPodcast #bootc #Linux #OpenSource #FedoraAtomic

Vojtux - Accessible Linux distro which is almost pure Fedora Vojtěch Polášek has put together a technical preview of a version of Fedora that should work well for blind or visually impaired users.
