on a teletype (or similar printing mechanism) if you are printing a like with lots of overstrike (eg an underlined heading) is it faster to print the line, carriage return, print the overstrike; or to use short backspace-overstrike sequences? i’m wondering how useful CR was apart from a CRLF sequence

what ios mastodon clients are good? i’m annoyed by ivory’s crappy ui for filters, which spams the server requesting userpics that i don’t want to see, and pegs the rate limiter i’ve reported it as a bug but they don’t seem to be making improvements to ivory so i should probably look elsewhere
