Hooked my arm up to an electric stimulation machine for the first time in the hope it helps with swelling but jfc it’s so weird to just have your arm be lightly electrocuted at constantly changing intervals

Life can’t give me a break right now. Got hit by a cyclist while getting off a tram 😢 (Thankfully they slammed on the brakes so I didn’t go down and mess up my arm more… but… seriously?!)

My quest for “I want to sell physical goods on the internet without breaking the law or losing money because of the complexities of shipping without giving Tobias Lütke money” is continuing to suck. And even run it yourself shit like WooCommerce is barely viable for low volume stuff because basically every useful feature requires a subscription for a plugin 🙃

In someways I’m very thankful to live in a country that gives you free* access to “cutting edge” medical interventions for things (the style of thing in my arm is only 10 years old, and so much more expensive than shittier techniques that the UK/US don’t use it yet) but it also sucks that outside of papers (which focus on the recovery of people >60) that I can’t find other peoples recovery processes to compare to/understand 😭

Oh god today is the first time I feel the bone more than the muscle and that is a horrible feeling

The “electrocute my muscles” machine is so weird

On the plus side I can open a bottle of water now On the downside it takes an hour and a lot of crying in pain when already in need of a pain killer 🙃

The weirdest part about this stupid fucking broken shoulder is just how much all of life comes crashing to a halt in an instant. And now I’m in “recovery” having no idea how long until it can start again

Physio today was the “do the thing until it fails” kind of physio and I learnt new ways that muscles can hurt but the fact that I learnt them in the process of “lifting my arm” is scary actually. OTOH more progress which is good?

My neighbors are currently discussing destroying or throwing away a bike that happens to be parked in the basement area because why be normal about anything when you can casually discuss committing crimes instead

Does anyone know of a queer friendly, English speaking #therapist in #Berlin who is good with trauma and ptsd?

I can’t make new work right now (…I don’t recommend breaking a shoulder…) but on top of my mini and big vases… I’m going to be doing a cup seconds sale at the #Weddingmarkt at Leopoldplatz on Sunday! They’re not perfectly straight, might have a little wobble, or just be the ends of a pattern and be truly 1/1, but they’re unique, fun, and entirely hand made!

I miss when the average engineer seemed to actually enjoy the process of engineering. I get that the pandemic and state of the world made everything suck, but JFC it’s wild to me that people no longer enjoy the act of making and instead enjoy the act of middle managing more.

A (German/italian/English speaking) glass friend is looking for a (guest?) room in #Munich from April-July, 1 night a week (Weds-Thurs - because they lecture at one of the universities) They only have a small budget, but can give you glass 😅 Let me know if you know of anything and I’ll pass it on to them/put you in touch.
