I miss when the average engineer seemed to actually enjoy the process of engineering.
I get that the pandemic and state of the world made everything suck, but JFC it’s wild to me that people no longer enjoy the act of making and instead enjoy the act of middle managing more.

@endocrimes@toot.cat i find myself writing more documentation than code these days and getting yelled at for that while nobody seems to understand how anything works. would like to make again but at the same time that doesn't seem valued anymore.
