  Tried a lot of different options, but #iTerm is still by far my favorite terminal experience. There's an option for everything I want, all use-cases are covered and everything is easily discoverable with a search. It's a delight how a tool can stay so simple and yet be so powerful over so many years.

  There are a couple of cases where I feel PHPStan works against me as a developer. With its rules leading to worse code than I'd write otherwise. Or to clumsy workflows. This is a 0.1% case, and in general I'm very happy with it (and the discussions around my pain points have been very friendly and productive!).   Still really disappointed that PHPStan works against developer-to-developer communication and lessens a cool new language feature in PHP by making (void) casts pointless. And mostly with myself, I apparently was unable to communicate this clearly enough to get this changed. https://phpstan.org/blog/phpstan-fully-supports-php-8-5#phpstan-goes-a-step-further I highly recommend ignoring that rule to improve your codebase.

  One of the things I really do enjoy about working at @Tideways@phpc.social is that I get to explore all the PHP frameworks and libraries we instrument in our test suite. While these days other people do most of the work, I still get to see sample applications and see the discussions, updates, and how things work internally. From FrankenPHP to Tempest ( which we just announced support for https://phpc.social/@Tideways/115978386992477446 ). All the cool new things happening in PHP <3
