  @ggrey@social.thelab.uno @homelab@fedigroups.social Nice! My Ubuntu is out of date too for Mastodon, but I've used "asdf" and "rbenv" to upgrade Ruby to Mastodon-supported versions in the past. I am now running Ruby 4.0.5 on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS with Mastodon 4.6.3, and it's working fine. I do however have multiple versions of Ruby, both for the Mastodon user, and system-wide, as for a while I didn't know what I was doing :( I should really do a cleanup sometime...

  #MastoAdmins: has anyone had a problem with all quoted posts saying "Post pending", but when I open the post on the original server, the quoted post displays fine? I'm on v4.6.0, but it's been doing it for several versions, but it used to work. Reloading the page on my server doesn't help either.   This afternoon a #hedgehog walked right past me while I was on a conf call in the garden! That is not a good sign as they are supposed to be nocturnal. It was quite wobbly and thin too, which is bad news. I left a bowl of water where it disappeared into the undergrowth. I rang a wildlife rescue place, and they said chicken-based cat food in jelly is a good food source. They wouldn't take it as they were full.
