Callsheet users: new update is slowly rolling out now; if you search for the app in the App Store, go to the details, you can force an update (after the caches catch up) there. Headline feature is that setting up Active Plex connections won’t hang when Callsheet is set to use the system browser.

Goose fans — and probably those from other jam bands — like to bicker in a friendly way about what is the “Jam of the Year”. There’s a lot of year left, and this isn’t even my current #1 for JOTY, it’s up there for me. It’s totally okay if this is not your thing! But it is mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-k01wNT5G0

My dear friend @stegrainer has unexpectedly found himself with some availability. You'd know his work if you've ever seen: • Primary app icons for Peek‑a‑View or MaskerAid • Alternative app icons for Callsheet • Entire redesign for @incomparable I am biased, since like I said, Ste is a dear friend. But I also genuinely find him to be one of the best designers I've ever worked with. Ste can design the shit out of anything he touches. Snatch him up while you can. https...

The CalDigit TS4 — my daily-driver Thunderbolt dock — is discounted lower than I’ve ever ever seen it. I genuinely love this thing, and it’s $320 right now. Just by plugging this thing in, I connect my MacBook Pro to: • Power • Studio Display • LG UltraFine • 2.5gb ethernet • Microphone interface • Development iPhone • Typically one or two other USB devices I’m charging Only downside: the power brick is hilariously large. https://amzn.to/40S6B3O (I’ll get a kickback if you use that link)

If Plex Media Server can’t find items in a library, what can one reasonably do? My Movies library — which I re-created a couple weeks ago — constantly fails to find new files, and forgets tens of files that it previously knew about. Every one of these goddamn papercuts pushes me ever-closer to Jellyfin. And I hate that for me. (Please, I’m not interested in alternatives. Just fix my Plex Media Server. It’s very sick.)

I’m curious. For those of you who run your own media server, please pick your **primary** server **for your own use**. If you use something other than the three listed here, feel free to reply.

“Tesla Cybertruck. The automotive equivalent of a YouTube thumbnail.” “You design this for people whose lineage continues _in spite_ of their personality, not _because_ of it.” Regular Car Reviews is… an acquired taste. I love it, but I get why one may hate it. Anyway, this was cathartic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3oO510dyVI

This post was a really fascinating exploration about ATProto, which I… basically knew nothing about. There's some things that make me to "🤨" about ATProto, but this post does a wonderful job of working from first principles. https://overreacted.io/a-social-filesystem/ (via @chaosgreml.in )

Just curious. If you're a Callsheet user, would be interested to see your vote below. For the purposes of this poll, the spoken language I'm most interested in is the one you use in the home. Even if you speak English at work, I'm focused on the one primarily used at home.
