    Looking for suggestions for a good macOS markdown viewer/editor. Don&amp;#39;t need any fancy cloud sync or anything like that, just solid viewing and editing of local markdown files.

    @schwa @incanus Yeah, Obsidian&amp;#39;s editing is good (I use it for other stuff already), but it doesn&amp;#39;t seem like you can just open a single .md file alone and edit it. It&amp;#39;s got to be part of a vault, which means it makes its little .obsidian folder alongside, and gets very heavyweight. Typora looks like my prime candidate right now.

    Seriously? They couldn&amp;#39;t manage to code this up, I have to transfer each one manually? Really? Also for extra giggles the links they refer to are embedded within an attached PDF file. So you can&amp;#39;t actually click them, you have to double click the PDF to open it in Preview, then click each link from there. (not that I actually give a shit about 4 things I put on my wishlist 20 years ago, but still)

    What has two thumbs and has mono? 👍🤒👍 Took a good couple weeks of low grade fever to figure out what the hell was going on. Not fun, but at least I know what it is now, that makes it easier to deal with.
