RE: https://caneandable.social/@lynessence/117051444876532494 well, I wonder if those of us using assistive technology will screw up their tracking metrics. I never use a mouse, and do not at all follow the screen patterns of a typical user. I don't do anything on my work computer that I wouldn't want monitored because I know a lot of things are logged, emails are kept for 7 years due to a regulatory requirement ETC. They don't say which of us they will track. IF this becomes an iss...

okay, perhaps a silly question. When Americans talk about elections, they talk about people being Registered republicans or democrats or independant. As a Canadian, I don't understand this. We have multiple political parties and I can choose to be a member of any or none of them but that has no impact on how I vote in an election or which ballot I get or anything. so I don't get it. Most people here are not a member of any party. I think a very small percentage of the population actually...

lovely. instacart thinks I am fraud because I did an order that I do almost the same every couple of weeks. to fix it, upload photos of your government issued photo ID and your credit card but mask certain parts. I could maybe take photos which would pass but how the hell do I mask parts of it as a blind person? I will call but I suspect this will be one of those get your carer to help discussions. the department of handicaps didn't give me one of those.

admitedly I don't use seeing ai very often but when I just launched it to see why my work computer is stuck, I can't get it to read anything when I point my camera at the screen of my computer. that is what I always used it for before. just point it at something and it would read whatever it could see. now silent and my work computer is still stuck. I think it might be doing a bios update so I don't want to turn it off.

alright, have been procrastinating because it is a lot of work. Have had Dreamhost hosting for many years. I think since 2007. the price has been increasing. their control panel became pretty awful for accessibility over the last couple of years. Now I discover, they have deleted all the email addresses for my discussion lists so people can not subscribe and things by sending email. I have to find an alternative and work out how to migrate everything. email isn't too bad I can use imap c...

wonder if there is a way to not have "shorts" show up in my youtube notifications. I don't like shorts. you can't lock your phone and they auto repeat. just make them go away!

person on the subway tonight. your dog is so smart, he knows where to get off on the subway. I do actually think he recognizes the audio announcement because he reacts to it but here's a really neat thing. I also can hear it and know if it my station. We also used trains before there were automated stop announcements. good thing my dog is so smart or I would still be wandering out on the street wondering which building I wanted to find! I am home even at my own place thanks to my dog!

hmmm, presto charged me twice for my transit pass this month. Guess I will have to call them. $156 twice is a bit much! Used to get it free but that card quit working a couple of months ago and the replacement process is apparently broken because the machine that prints them doesn't work or something.
