Reinstalled Asahi Linux (Baremetal) on a MacBook Pro M1 after uninstalling it 2 years ago. A lot has changed! The computer no longer cooks under simple tasks. I strongly suspect it was software rending on the graphics driver in the past. Videos play nice, multitasking feels great. The speakers also sound like they&#39;ve had some optimisations. Battery life seems good (will likely get 8-9 hours of use, but will report back on that). As suspected, Touch ID doesn&#39;t work (not a biggie...
