  Day 2 of the new drug. I read up on it yesterday. I like gathering information, but now I'm really discouraged!   Aw geez. #Kansas sucks so much. 😆 It could not have been a more perfect day. The weather barely topped 70°F, the birds were numerous, and mosquitoes were oddly not present. I saw an indigo bunting!!!! This is one of my favorite parks in the county and it's free to go there!   OK Fedi hive mind, I'm making a list of creature comforts for my friend who has to be in the hospital for at least FIVE days next week after major surgery. 😳 (At the top of the list are a few things that I'm already providing to them: a portable HEPA filter for their room, and 3M Aura N95 masks.) Suggestions of what gets you through long stays in horrible settings like this are welcome! I'm working to make the list #neurodivergent friendly and sensory-friendly, too.

  Ahhh this is so good! It is heartening to me that there are still people in the world trying to get the word out that this is not just a cold. I really wish more folks understood what is still going on with this virus in the world and the dangers that it poses for absolutely everyone. The dead can't tell you how awful it is, and the people suffering from the long form of Covid don't have the energy to either, so the job falls on those of us who can still communicate about it....

  I thought you all might enjoy seeing Molly in her trailer. She doesn't necessarily enjoy it, but it really is working well for us. I'll run her brother for about half a mile first and then let her out to walk the rest of the way. I'm increasing his distance every time we go out as well, so we are all getting back up to conditioned. Molly is up to .8 of a mile of walking now and doing great! She's a month out from her surgery.
