  saw someone say that in the modern day, people that die fighting a 'symbolic' battle might go to valholl.....which uhh okay so setting aside the questions of "why would that rule ever change regardless of time?" or "why would someone who died of illness ever want to spend ages fighting and getting drunk?" ...people dont die in battle in the modern day? WHAT DO YOU MEAN! like actually what, thats such a priviliged interpretation of norse pagan...

  the ""germanic"" and ""norse"" adjectives to paganism/animism dont really jell with me anymore, it feels like its trying too much to retvrn back to an imagined homogenous culture. Much like how ethnic and national identities are formalised, the label "germanic" really does not make that much sense in the modern day. Like my spirituality is aside from being pagan also very catholic, very animist, very civil...
