saw someone say that in the modern day, people that die fighting a 'symbolic' battle might go to valholl.....which uhh okay so setting aside the questions of "why would that rule ever change regardless of time?" or "why would someone who died of illness ever want to spend ages fighting and getting drunk?" ...people dont die in battle in the modern day? WHAT DO YOU MEAN! like actually what, thats such a priviliged interpretation of norse pagan cosmology. people are dying everyday, bravely in actual physical non metaphorical battles, you're just not one of them because youre a white cishet deskjob worker whose only daily struggle is deciding between starbucks and office coffee.
