Currently averaging ~54c/kWh for my exports so far this month. Imports cost me about ~12c/kWh. Not bad. Exported 32.01 kWh @ $16.73 credit ($17.56 with rebate) Imported 163.18 kWh at $7.67 cost ($19.69 with line charges) That's not terrible really. Much better than my 12.5c export and 20/40c import.

I do appreciate that all this info is shared by Transpower. They could quite easy hide it all behind “you need to be a participant” but they don’t. Obviously isn’t everything but yeah.

Record grid load forecasted again for the next couple of days because of the cold snap. Be interesting to see how it shakes out, been a fair few Low Residual notifications gone out this week and the forward looking price is sitting around $5,195/MWh for tomorrow mornings peak. It’s currently sitting at around $67/MWh… Yesterday’s briefing had Thursday morning as an energy shortfall. That won’t happen but it’ll be reflected in the price above.

Silly thoughts, lead to seeing this is fine slack emoji in unexpected places Remember, don't trust user input. That extends to things that are user controlled like User Agents 😅

🎶 🔊 This house is cold and empty Just a ghost of who I used to be I stare at my own reflection Wondered if you'd even recognize me Last night I heard you whisper "Everything is fine 'cause I am here, I am here" Last night I saw your shadow But when I called your name you disappeared, you disappear Who's gonna say goodnight? Who's gonna stop the world from turning? Who's gonna numb my pain? Who's gonna save me when the sky is crashing down? 🎶 🔊 https://ficci...

That's quite the price separation again. Shows how reliant the NI is on SI generation flows.

Genesis billing got broke by having to actually pay split rates for peak/off-peak exports (paraphrasing a support case I raised) This has delayed my move to wholesale/spot pricing and I'm very irritated by this.

Looks like tomorrow’s got a huge spike in wholesale costs. I should check what going on but that means $2/kWh exports too 🙃 battery’s automation is going to dump itself into the grid at that point.
