Record grid load forecasted again for the next couple of days because of the cold snap.
Be interesting to see how it shakes out, been a fair few Low Residual notifications gone out this week and the forward looking price is sitting around $5,195/MWh for tomorrow mornings peak.
It’s currently sitting at around $67/MWh…
Yesterday’s briefing had Thursday morning as an energy shortfall. That won’t happen but it’ll be reflected in the price above.

But sure, add big loads that can’t be load controlled to the power grid, what could go wrong.
