Trump’s twisted use of diplomatic rhetoric is part of the sham of this war. The press is acting as if when the ceasefire expires the cruise missiles will automatically start flying again. In fact, it would be completely within the President’s power not to kill children, not to waste resources, not to deepen global chaos.
