Wait, is Nile Red genuinely one of those YouTubers that Fedi hates?

I don’t understand why, when I mention that flashing lights make it hard for me to think but have no other effects, other than I guess making me nauseated if I look too long, people turn off the flashing lights instead of taking advantage of me while I can’t think

Now that I'm trans, every time I have an important realization about myself I think "how did THIS take longer for me to come to terms with than being trans?"

So, a bunch of new people followed me, time to see how many of them stick around after I get into my controversial views: Not CWing politics should be a ban/defed worthy offense on Fedi The FSF sucks. Not only is Stallman evil, but free software absolutism over free software accessibility has heavily set back people actually moving away from more corporate systems. I have my own system I came up with, btw. We use a lot of proprietary software, including iOS and MacOS, and do not have short-term...

If someone is in a bad place mentally, and talking about it, you can: a) Provide emotional support. b) Provide lower-level support (hugs and some warm tea for example, but no talking about problems). c) Tell them you're not in a position to provide support (one on one) or just move on (public). Those are the only options that don't make you an asshole. Telling them to get better is not providing support. Lecturing about the long-term consequences of an unhealthy coping mechanism is not...

I just watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeqnhOYMIF8 which is extremely interesting, but the conclusion is basically "being able to physically interact with things is a lot better than doing everything through a computer". I guess for some people that's true, but for me I hate my body. It doesn't really look how I want, and it definitely doesn't work how I want (my coordination and precision with my hands is bad, I pass out if I stand up for too long, and I'm over...

There's a subset of programmers where it's: Why do you dislike Python? It's way too flexible and has basically no stops to prevent people from writing bad code that barely works. Okay, and why do you like C? It's super flexible and you can do all sorts of interesting and cursed things with it

So, in a couple weeks I'll be going back to my abusive parents in Portland, Oregon. If you live nearby and have some spare spoons to help me with, or have somewhere I can stay for a few days when I want to get away from my bioparents, that would be very much appreciated. Unfortunately I can't really do much in return, I guess maybe at some point I could do some proofreading or technical writing for you, but I'm asking for this help in no small part due to not having money or spoons s...

Hypnosis is very powerful, it can change sensations, moods, memories, and more. You can do a lot of kink with it and it's very hard to think of a mental effect it can't achieve. The main limitation is that it takes time and skill, with the more intense of an outcome you're going for, the more time and skill it will need. Part of this is that it takes practice to drop into trance. As for the concern of nonconsensual hypnosis, my overall best guess is that it's about as hard for...

Okay, looking for some story recommendations for Sierra, our age regressed member (roughly age 8). She'd like something longform, with hurt/comfort elements, and a protagonist that is around her age, and ideally also age-regressed. Bonus points if the protagonist is disabled. She's already read "The Wolf Princess" and "Kidnapped by the Strongest Guild", and would like more stories like those. Any recommendations? Boosts welcome

I keep getting into arguments on fedi about why I don't deserve to exist, but they're frustratingly really hard to win. I guess I'm too stupid to explain why I'm awful

A scenario: If you want to cum, you can ask, and then be tied down. Once your chastity cage is removed, you'll then get a handjob/have a toy used on you for exactly 15 minutes. You don't get to see the timer. Cum to early and you'll end up getting overstimmed for the rest of the time. Wait too long and you end up not getting to cum at all

I feel bad about using my wheelchair because, like, I obviously don't really need it, I can just not leave the house except on particularly good days, and even then not go outside for that long, and then I simply don't need my wheelchair at all. So I'm probably just faking everything and I'm awful and shouldn't use it

Weird bit of culture shock: apparently in Germany feeding yourself is treated as a higher priority than doing chores for the household

Dos and don'ts of interacting with people in wheelchairs, from personal experience: Do: Talk to close friends about their disabilities. It's an important part of our lives and something we want the people close to us to know. We may also genuinely enjoy talking about it Don't: Talk to random strangers and very loose acquaintances about their disabilities, especially if you're only going to pity them Do: Help people out if they seem to need it Don't: Help impulsively in ways t...
