  I am so confused. Who is Carney afraid of? Why do we need this military build up? It clearly not to prevent aggression from the US or protect " sovereignty" since he is to continuing to buy and sell weapons and mitary equipment with the US and US companies. He is even considering participation in the Golden Dome missile defence system proposed by the US.   We don't have an *energy crisis*. We have had the technology and skills to create enough sustainable energy for our needs for YEARS, if governments only let us develop them. What we have is a *greed crisis* where the oil and gas lobby is determined to squeeze every dirty litre of profit out of their assets while the world burns. The College I work at is considering joining Colleges and Institutes Canada new College Defence Training and Innovation Network to benefit from the Carney Government's Defence Industrial Strategy. In short, they want to open our College, the home of the Mir Centre for Peace, to military research and development contracts as well as training agreements. He'll propose to drop a fuel tax seemingly to help affordability so car drivers can save like $25/ mo on gas but it means less govern revenue for social programs or actually sustainable transportation options.
