  While I'm on a morning tear: can we *stop* saying "Companies decided" and "Companies chose to" and the like? Companies don't have agency, people do. *People* in these companies chose to destroy long-term careers for short-term profits. *People* chose to lay off swaths of their workforce to make a bonus. *People* chose to incentivize the C-Suite with stocks and bonuses tied to harm, not growth. *People* chose to discriminate against minorities...
