When I was a kid.. I wanted to make a data center. Someplace for my friends to have websites, or a game, or run things like Mastodon. Not so much of a high-end business sense of running a datacenter, but more of a sandbox environment of fucking around and finding out. And with the whole concept of ARM processors. As I&#39;ve gotten an uptick in eBay sales. I&#39;ve decided to route packing slips to the Okidata i recently built. I shouldn&#39;t be so impressed with it.. But it pushed about 25 pages over the weekend like it was nothing. Might have to get continuous paper if auctions keep going.

How does one enjoy a community after finding out from its leaders that it&#39;s not about the people, but pushing merch? Like you watch them talk about their attendees in raw statistical analysis, the age brackets, where they go to eat, where they spend their money, and how to exploit it all. Sure, you offer your friends a smile as they purchase that shirt or flag, or whatever. Even they know the smile is fake. They don&#39;t understand, and you shield it to prevent it from ruining them.

Didn&#39;t even notice bluesky was down.. As for this place.. I dunno.. i&#39;m feeling like it served its purpose which was to get me away from social networks. No one really cared what i said on twitter.. or bluesky.. So... Outside of the hyper-rare dude that IM&#39;s me on Signal, Telegram or *lulz* Steam.. yeah.. Got an Intel A770. My living room geforce 1660 exploded. My 2080 fans are sounding like crap. Time to go, Intel! Don&#39;t worry, I&#39;m not doing this blindly! I have an A380 intel in my DJ station, and playing Steam on it surprisingly didn&#39;t suck. Anyhow, Best Buy was hoarding a ton of them. So yeah. not paying 400-500 for a GPU.:D

I might have to go through the &#39;fun&#39; of moving my VPS to a new datacenter. If that&#39;s even possible anymore, as AI has driven the concept of web-hosting completely into the dirt. On top of that.. datacenters find it more profitable to give AI even minimal VPS slices for spider control instead of dealing with residents..
