    Almost time to head off to work with 2 clients today 😷. I have a support worker coming by to help look after Mom while I&#39;m busy at work. My first appointment is at 9am. It&#39;s a shorter work day, which I&#39;m grateful for. I&#39;m still low on spoons; drained after working yesterday. I need whatever energy left after work hours to care for my Mom &amp; myself.     Mom&#39;s having another very bad pain night. I hate feeling powerless to relieve her pain. I&#39;m doing my best. I feel it&#39;s not enough. I&#39;m scared about possibly losing my Mom, after losing my Dad 3 years ago. I am struggling with a lot of heavy emotions right now. I&#39;m going to smoke a joint &amp; try to calm my anxieties down. I&#39;m not doing well at the moment.

    My friend, @kaosk@mastodon.social helping me with my longterm project to turn my backyard into a suburban food forest. He is scattering alfalfa feed pellets atop contractor paper, wood/leaves from my handsaw tree pruning &amp; we layered some soil over that &amp; then layered straw over it all 👍👩‍🌾💚

    For me, a road to death, that you&#39;re aware of, includes having personal dignity &amp; being able to live out your last days/weeks/months/years with as much joy &amp; comfort as possible. I don&#39;t believe that terminally ill people deserve lesser than humane, compassionate care.     I can host some people again, who need somewhere to tent for up to 2 weeks at a time, starting in September. No longterm stays though. Only short term, emergency or hunting for more permanent housing is OK.     Beach time. On the way out to the beach - We saw a dead deer on side of road in downtown Sooke. Spotted a black bear walking into someone&#39;s property near Gordon Beach. Saw otters in the ocean while we had a little picnic. May &amp; Bruno also went to far end of beach &amp; saw a baby seal. @mayintoronto@beige.party @kaosk@mastodon.social

    Today is the 10th anniversary of my Samsung Galaxy 10. It&#39;s still the phone I&#39;m using, now. I don&#39;t get rid of any cellphone if it&#39;s still functional &amp; does what I need. I&#39;ve never had any FOMO when it comes to new phones &amp; think that upgrading to new models is a waste of hard earned money.

    I&#39;m holding off buying my HRT medications for osteoporosis &amp; menopause medical issues for August &amp; maybe September too. I can&#39;t afford to pay for my HRT &amp; support my Mom through her surgeries &amp; other more serious medical conditions if I get my HRT. My HRT medication is not covered by Pharmacare at all.
