I wonder if a vampire's piss looks different cuz all they drink is blood. I'm assuming they can't drink water, or at least don't have to. And I'm assuming they piss at all.

Found out some dude on Hell's Kitchen sabotaged the guy sending out dishes by leaving the crab out of the crab risotto and it wasn't noticed, even after taste testing. Gordon was so proud of the trickery it became a common theme in later challenges. Technically the cook shouldn't have done it, but it's also the head's job to inspect dishes before they go out.

I think we need to better understand what we want from the average computer user when we say we want to teach them computer literacy. Because that informs how much we teach them for it to be considered as such. The iPhone was important in abstracting much of the nitty gritty of computing into something the average person could understand how to use. The average fedizen and computer nerds in general know a lot more about computer management. Abstractions can sometimes be annoying because they kn...

Realizing Celeste and Getting Over It both have climbing up a mountain and reaching the summit as their gameplay theme. They approach it in very different ways for very different reasons, but the setting similarity is interesting.

I love how video games used to have such high quality art on their cover and then when you got into the game it's just pixelly shit.

Apparently a law was passed some years ago that required car companies to design and implement a feature that passively determines whether you're too drunk to drive and just doesn't let you operate the car. I did look at the law itself and it specifically says it has to accurately measure your BAC in order to make that determination. How the fuck they expect to do that, I don't know. This was passed before the AI craze, but now that it's here, I suspect they migh...

Is it normal to listen to a song and just get most of the lyrics wrong in your head? Like the sounds are slightly off and you can't quite figure out what they're actually supposed to be saying.

Honestly the only thing I don't love about NGNL is the intro or outro. They're fine, but also I'm extremely picky about them.

I have this weird thing where it actually feels good to be moody, sometimes. Cathartic to just stew over petty fantasies.

Plot twists suck when they come out of nowhere. They work best when hinted at first, because the audience is given a chance to work out the gist of it. Even if they don't, when it's revealed, there's that moment of "ohhh, that makes so much sense!" If it's barely connected or not at all, the audience tends to not say "oh shit" but rather "where the fuck did that come from?" or "why would they do that?&...

@sand Watching Needy Girl Overdose since it just came out. Never played the game, but I was curious about it. Seems like exactly the kind of critique about internet fame and parasocialism I've been having.

A distant memory. A soundless voice. A glimpse of a past you can scarcely remember. You see a girl, but you don't know who she is. She's talking to you, but you can't hear what she's saying. You can see the world outside the window. It's a city, cars on the highway, buildings in the distance, but you can't remember where it is. You're not even sure this is an actual memory, or just a warping of something else. All you do know is, while sh...
