RE: https://mstdn.social/@MaryAustinBooks/116998258136743578 My favorite bathroom signage was at a local bar/restaurant. There were three restroom doors. Each door was painted with a single word. "It" on one, "Doesn't" on the next, and "Matter" on the third.

Well good news! Just had a follow up on the rib fracture and apparently all the stuff online is wrong? He estimates four to six weeks for symptom free recovery. Not great but also significantly less terrible than what I was worrying.

This is a long-shot, but what the heck. I'm looking to #getfedihired. I'm a Mortgage LOS System Admin with 15+ years of administering, supporting, and configuring the Encompass LOS. What does that mean? I run the enterprise software for a mid-size, regional mortgage bank. A lot of skill overlap with an Business Analyst position. I have some coding experience, but I'm not a developer. I used to be an attorney, so I also bring compliance skills. Remote or willing to relocate in the P...

It's so cool of the entire country of Canada to celebrate my birthday every year. Thanks, peeps. ๐Ÿฅฐ Speaking of my birthday today: For my birthday, I'd love it if you reached out and connected with someone. That friend or family member you feel you've been neglecting. Or someone you wish you were closer to. Just let them know you were thinking about them, and maybe see if they want to spend some time together.

LOL, less than two days before the Federal Student Loan repayment plan overhaul goes into effect and their website is down for a "planned maintenance" DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Who the hell is running their IT department and what is their home address? I just have a couple questions.๐Ÿ˜ก ๐Ÿ”จ

Holy crap. Someone recommended this video on here recently that I can't find the post right now. House of the Rising Sun played by Mumford & Sons, plus Celisse on guitar and Trombone Shorty on you know what at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. You are not prepared for this. Right up there with The Animals version https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1K0QN8xy1kM

So, I had a pretty rough case of COVID a couple years ago. Screwed up my sense of smell and taste for several weeks. Everything smelled sort of rotten and anything with vinegar particularly so. My sense of smell and taste eventually returned BUT every now and then I'll wake up in the morning and the rotten smell/taste is back nearly full blown (including this morning). Anybody know what the mechanism is for this?? #COVID

My baby sister (who is 41, so not that baby) just dumped her very sweet but bit of a man-baby boyfriend, so please allow to ONCE AGAIN provide this PSA to my fellow straight men: get your shit together, yo! Pay your bills on time if you can afford to, if you have kids fucking parent them, bathe regularly, don't rely on your mother to take care of basic tasks for you like filing your taxes or laundry, if you're sharing space with another person, CLEAN IT.

Hey fellow un-medicated ADHD folks. Do you have any tricks for handling inattentive-type symptoms? Like, you've got a thing you HAVE to focus on, but your brain is all "nah, bruh." ETA: In this case I'm talking about immediate situations where taking breaks is not possible. Like an important training webinar that I HAVE to pay attention to.

Chuck Norris was a right wing bigot who campaigned against same-sex marriage, supported the Obama birther conspiracy, and was just generally an all-around shithead. Fuck him.

Couldn't put my finger on exactly why today's weather felt so RIGHT until I realized that it's because it's wet outside and the sky is gray. As it should be this time of year in Portland.
