I still get irritated thinking about The Rise of Skywalker. From Finn being relegated to just shouting Rey! Rey! most of the movie, to the ancient Sith dagger that JUST happened to have the exact same silhouette as contemporary wreckage, to Palpatine's return. F--- this movie. Plus, I HATED Palpatine returning when Dark Empire did it in the '90s. 30 years did not change my opinion about it. #MovieADay #Movies #Film #Cinema

1996 had the dueling sci-fi alien invasion films Independence Day and The Arrival (which I mentioned earlier this week: https://chirp.enworld.org/@JediSoth/116630058798738719). While I enjoyed the heck out of ID4, I thought The Arrival was a better film overall. Like all three sets of these dueling genre films, the better film wasn&#39;t necessarily the one that made the most money. #MovieADay #Movies #Film #Cinema

When the #StarWars prequels were announced, Revenge of the Sith was the one we were all waiting for. Well, mostly... this movie contained everything we expected all three films to have: the Clone Wars, Anakin&#39;s fall to the Dark Side, the fateful duel between him and Obi-Wan. We just didn&#39;t expect it to all be crammed into one #film.
