  Lately the following three pieces of unsolicited health advice keep reaching me whether I want it or not: 1. You can't possibly be eating enough protein and need to be eating more. 2. You can't possibly be eating enough fibre and need to be eating more to compensate for the fact that you're eating way too much protein. 3. You need to eat less.

  In some places they call school grades "grade 3" and in others they call it "third grade" What surprises me is sometimes people say one but then feel the need to clarify with the other for speakers of the other dialect. (e.g. "When I was in grade 3 (third grade)..." I would have thought the two terms are 100% mutually comprehensible!

  A weird thing is there are people who conflate "I feel negatively about the religion I was raised in" with "I am engaged in self-loathing" It's not SELF-loathing - I disavow it! It's loathing my oppressor - surely that's allowed??

  The building permit posted at the construction in Yonge Eglinton Centre (where Urban Outfitters used to be) says it's going to be a bank. I'm disappointed. There are already plenty of banks in the area. I want something new that we don't have! (Still can't believe we don't have a Home Hardware!)

  From a songwriting perspective, how did the line "Try the grey stuff, it's delicious!" end up in the song Be our Guest from Beauty and the Beast? It's hard to think of a food that's both grey and delicious, and tons of other things would scan (gravy? pastry? green stuff?) How did they get to "grey stuff"? Was it a first draft, or did they make a deliberate choice to use it other than alternatives?

  The Catelli corporation won't let you fill out their Contact Us form without a Product UPC Code and a Production Code Date Which is super annoying, because what I want to email them about is a product I can no longer find in stores, and therefore don't have in hand to provide this info!

  Trying to remember a song, perhaps first heard in childhood.
