  I don’t get out to ball games as much as I probably should, and at some point I’d like to go back to Wrigley as an adult, but until that happens Nats Park is pretty good. Plus the cherry blossom uniforms are objectively great. #DC #baseball

  You hear “but what about the birth rates” any time you talk about basically anything to do with modern America, and because I’m a normal person with a brain that isn’t a blasted wasteland of misery and pain, I suddenly wondered “hey, how much of that comes back to how marital rape as a concept only became a thing made illegal in the US in, like, 1994? Not to mention the long track record of male impunity, especially before birth control was invented.” Grim shit.

  Indie bookstore day is great, it reassures me that I’m not the only person who reads. Some days it feels like that, but when I see bunches of people going to #bookstores, carrying the totes and whatnot, I feel a bit better about not being the only literate person in the country. Plus I barely ever peoplewatch, and it’s good for that too. Also lots of #dogs are out and about, which is fun. #DCbookcrawl #IndieBookstoreDay2026

  I have a bad habit of listening to too much music and singing too loud after a few drinks - at least that’s what my wife tells me. She’s probably right, per the rules of normal folk. I’m very abnormal and it took quite a while to come to terms with it. At the same time, I love karaoke - I’m a sad smothered soul with this as one of my few outlets on the rare occasions I get to do it. It took years to realize I needed a good repertoire, but I think I have one now. #music #karaoke
