Did anyone else get this emergency alert from the #UKGovernment last night??

In the most meta thing possible, I've just seen a model kit of a model shop for sale. https://www.themodelcentre.com/pkay15616

It is utterly fucking exhausting having to deal with people who can't figure out Multi-Factor Authentication and don't check that it works until it's far too late (they're away from work).

Massive CBA has now hit. I've gone back to the office to chug some fizzy drink.

Got asked to do a task, well now I am doing that task. And I will stare at these screens until the task is complete.

When I started this job 5 years ago, it was a breath of fresh air because it was more relaxed and I was allowed to just do the job without interference or having to worry about metrics. People had problems, I fixed them.

I hate my manager's new obsession with having daily lists of tasks. No, stop it. I do whatever needs doing in whatever order I feel like. It's all part of the wider group we joined last year being obsessed with KPIs and the such like, and frankly I am not here for that. At the end of the day, we're IT in a small school, not a fucking massive business. My priority is ensuring that teachers and students feel supported with their IT requirements and that they can come to me for help....

I caved and got my ugly American thing. In the end, I felt continuing my series of models of locos I’ve worked on was worth doing. #ModelRailway

I think I had a dream about The Girl. I think we were back at her parents’ house.

Also, I have been discharged from the mental health service, which is kind of a relief. I was talking yesterday with my supervisor on the programme and saying how I’ve felt better recently, a large part of that being away from home and going and doing nice things and that gave me such a lift. She asked if I had anything else to look forward to so I told her about my friend’s wedding

Brain just screaming “no, don't wanna" at work today.

As someone from East Anglia, we disown Thetford. Or at least, I do. It's a shithole and the news from it is only demonstrating that.

That feels like more than enough Friday for one day.

Parcel from Germany today with tape that says “synth parts” on it. Makes me seem cooler than I am, like Kraftwerk. It was a replacement foot pedal PCB for my mum’s digital piano, only it turns out the connector is pre-attached so I don’t need to solder anything. Might as well had this sent directly to my parents! Oh well!

Unbelievable, no model shop in Brighton. Don't know why I'm bothering going to my best mate's wedding down there now if I can't go browse and spend my pocket money!

I feel a bit uncomfortable tonight. Can’t seem to get a comfortable temperature, or position to lay. I think I’m just over exhausted at this point t.

Incredible year for sports. First, men injecting their dicks with acid to fly further in ski jumping, now women padding their bras for more aerodynamic titties. What a time to be alive

People really need reminding that it’s against the law to use high beams on dual carriageways and motorways, getting fed up of being blinded by idiots.

We might have helped prevent another fire today. As we were leaving the zoo we were at, I spotted a cigarette bin in the car park smoking big time. Some selfish prick had dropped a lit cigarette in there and it had caught. We quickly flagged it up to staff who went and got the key to open it and drop the contents into a bucket of water
