The minimum wage should be tied in percentage to the maximum rent allowed for a one-bedroom apartment. Someone working full-time should be able to cover all their minimal living expenses with their wage. It's a catastrophic society failure that this isn't the case anymore in many places around the world.

They give you a tool for free. They push you to use it as much as possible. They tell you to abandon the rest. They want you to use the tool for everything. They make you completely dependent. They add a small fee to the tool. They check if you stay... They charge you more for the tool. They check if you stay, fully dependent... They charge you an astronomical fee for the tool. They win. You lose.

I cannot tell you enough how insulting it is for artists to see any use of AI-generated images. This technology was made from our work, our labour, stolen from us, violating our consent and copyrights. Somehow without any legal consequences, and without any financial compensation made to us, but making billions in profits exploiting us. I feel rage each time I see an AI-generated image. Each time it's a reminder of how much people devalue the hard labour of artists and feel entitled to...

Sometimes, I see articles or comments that are critical about AI technologies, yet still use an AI-generated image for cover. Why do this? Don't you see this removes all the credibility you might have had? Why? #NoAI

I had a dream last night that there was a social media app called "Rage" where people go to just aggressively yell at each other. Maybe it's a prescient dream that X is about to get renamed again. #DeleteTwitter #DeleteX #DeleteRage

The idea of trying to replace human labour without first having put in place some system of universal living income is truly foolish. Only a billionaire could come up with such a stupid idea. #NoAI #LabourRights

By the way, if you email me or send me a direct message with a question, I always try to reply to everyone, but it will take time (days-weeks). Please be patient ๐Ÿ’š It might take more time if there is a linked video or an article I need to read before I can reply. And sometimes, I simply don't have the time to look at liked material, unfortunately. If you ask me a question by tagging me in a non-private mention post, there is less chance I will reply and more chance it will get lost in my...

I feel like I'm missing so many mentions these days :blobcatsad: I don't have enough time to look at them regularly, and when I finally take the time to sit down to reply properly (not just quickly on my phone randomly) there are too many! ๐Ÿซฃ All my apologies if I missed one of your message mentioning me. I truly didn't mean to, but alas my resources to reply in a timely manner are limited at this time ๐Ÿ’š

People think a lot about the output they get from AI tools and chatbots. But they don't think enough about the input they give to the AI tools and chatbots. Your input is very likely collected, tagged, evaluated, shared, and reused. Every word, every image, every line of code, every data points you share with them, knowingly or unknowingly. You're not using them. They're using you. #NoAI #Privacy #DigitalRights #MassSurveillance

Would you prefer a job where: a) Work meetings are never recorded and AI notetakers are never used, but you have to take notes manually occasionally. b) Or a job where meetings are regularly recorded and are using AI notetakers, but you never have to take notes.

Mass surveillance is a violation of consent and a violation of democracy. Stop normalizing surveillance. #Privacy #Democracy #StopSurveillance

The most fundamental concept to comprehend to understand privacy is consent. The most important concept to comprehend to understand why most AI training data is unethical is consent. Consent is one the least understood concept in our society, yet the most likely to save it. If you have difficulty understanding why privacy is important and why nonconsensual data sets are problematic, start learning more about consent. It will benefit all aspects of your life, and society as a whole as we...

If a device is recording you and everyone around you, And is sharing all this data with a corporation outside of your control, It is not a "smart" device, It is a spying device. At the very least, you are ethically required to not inflict this surveillance upon others without prior explicit consent. #TechSurveillance #MassSurveillance #Privacy #Consent #RingDoorbell #MetaRayBan #SmartSpeakers

Friendly reminder that it's not because something is "legal" that it is ethical. And vice versa. Please learn the difference. This is increasingly important.

There will never be an AI tool that is truly private unless it hasn't trained on nonconsensual data. Even if a platform were able to create the perfect protections for its users' prompts and results, If the platform is built from or utilizing an AI model that was trained on or is updated and optimized with data that was scraped from millions of people without their consent, then of course this platform isn't "privacy-respectful." How could it be? The company is sa...

I will obstinately keep talking to my computer and search engines using only keywords. I love my puter, and yes I gave it a name, but it's still just a machine. Anthropomorphizing machines and programs was kind of a cute game... until people started to believe it in recent years. Now, it's dangerous. #NoAI

If your website only has an AI Chatbot to resolve customers' problems, then it's clear you are not interested in solving those problems or being made aware of these problems to improve your organization. Basically, this AI Chatbot is just decor to give the customers the impression there is still some customer service, but in fact there isn't. Why not just remove the chat function entirely at this point? Same outcome for you, less insulting for your customers. #NoAI

Just so you know, we need to push back against privacy-invasive regulations. Each and every time. Shrugging and using a VPN will not save you. They will come for the VPNs next. Then the ISPs. Then more. Pushing against unjust laws matters. The tools alone will not save you in the long run. #Privacy #PrivacyLaw #AgeVerification
