Tried to install SteamOS on a Geekom mini PC I bought. Of course it doesn't work. Can't find the network. This is why I hate all things Linux. It NEVER works the way it's supposed to. There are ALWAYS an infinite number of stupid fiddly bits I have to arse around with to make anything ever work.

I have to use Excel for work. And I have to say, whatever asshat came up with the idea of those stupid floaty boxes that hover over cells after you do something to give you "formatting" options - that guy should be forbidden from every working in any IT related field again. He shouldn't even be allowed to run a parking meter.

Well, to quote Homestar Runner, "The good times are over..." Looks like I've developed fatty liver, which I think sounds like a Chinese dish but which the doctor says means I need to cut way back on my drinking and get serious about losing some weight. Blah.

Amy Coney Barrett sided with the liberal justices to protect voter fraud? What a shocker.

At this point, I'm convinced the "I'm definitely still working on the Tintin sequel" an epic troll by Spielberg and Jackson.

Not sure if it's a proud Dad moment or not, but playing charades with some friends, one of them tried to get people to guess "The Boy Scouts" by holding up three fingers (scout's honor salute). My kids don't know anything about the Boy Scouts outside of the fact that now-a-days the organization is gay and retarded. So one of my 8-year-old girls guesses, "Bourbon?" (because when she plays bartender I ask her to pour me three fingers)....

You can really feel it in the Starsky & Hutch show when they're intentionally padding the run time to fill the time slot. "Hey, let's hold this minute long shot of the guy slowly climbing down the scaffolding." "How about a half a minute of Capt. Dobey just looking out the window at guys getting put into an ambulance." That's one thing Streaming did for TV shows - it eliminated the necessity of filler. Make the show whatever...

Roberts is always so full of it. And every picture I see of him reinforces the old adage, 'Never Trust a Man Who Smiles Like a Jackass Eating Briars."

I had forgotten that Hank Schrader spent his early years honing his police skills working alongside Murtaugh & Riggs in Lethal Weapon 2.

I'm curious. When I proposed to my wife, I did not have a photographer standing by to "capture the moment." In fact, something like that never even occurred to me as an option. It was a private moment for us. Yet, I see all the time now, pictures and even videos of proposals (and I don't mean stunt proposals like "I got the JumboTron at the ball game to show it"). Is it a generational thing?

Tonight's programming will include the Simpsons episode where Ralph Wiggum gets a crush on Lisa. Another cultural reference point for the kids. Will follow it with a classic William Powell / Myrna Loy film - "I Love You, Again."

I was recommending the "snot sucker" to new parents long before it became popular. It's really a shame that the company decided to go this direction. Who on earth except for a degenerate idiot would think "sexualizing one's interactions with an infant is the way to sell our product"? Some of this stuff is really perverted to an unthinkable degree. I won't be buying any of their products for expecting moms again. https://www.thegate...

It was the annual St. Valentine's Day treasure hunt for the kids this morning. I can see why the Riddler would really get into the whole "leaving clues" thing. It's addictive.
