@DaddyO@noauthority.social It's not jerky if a baby can't teethe on it. Hate jerky for its sweetness. Love biltong for the coriander and saltiness. But the textures are similar enough.

@DaddyO@noauthority.social If it is soft and tender then you can just eat it as normal meat. Very fast. The thing with tough and chewy is that it will take long time to eat, so you will eat it slow with a lot of saliva. This is how you will get every drop of energy from this meat and how you can sustain yourself if you are out for a long tracking, hunting or fishing. Or marching. If it is soft and tender and juicy and full of added flavors, well then, isn't it just expensive candy?
