  Some vloggers I follow are singing the praises of travel in China (mainland), citing not only the advanced tech everywhere you look, but also the incredibly high level of customer service. I've always thought one reason for that was that China firmly believes in Full Employment: everyone has a job, there are jobs for everyone, and naturally a lot of those jobs are in hospitality.   It's interesting to me that the two superpowers of post-WWII, the US and USSR/Russia, are now floundering, and both for the same reasons: corrupt oligarchy (that may be redundant; all oligarchies are corrupt) and military hubris.
