I&#39;ve been pretty inactive on the Fediverse lately. On the one hand, this means that I haven&#39;t been writing haikus or appreciating photography posts as much as I&#39;d like. On the other hand, in time away I&#39;ve been learning emacs, degoogling my new phone (including deleting the GUI and rescuing it) and checking XDA forums for when a version of LineageOS is released for my phone. Don&#39;t cry for me Mastodon, the truth is I never left you.

@firusvg Absolute slop. If your thought isn&#39;t clear enough to communicate without sloppy abuse of Charles Schulz&#39;s art, maybe you should learn how to communicate it better. People love Peanuts because it&#39;s gentle and steers clear of direct mention of the awfulness of the adult world, while modelling something better - if you respected the artist and his work you&#39;d understand how ugly this is.

@firusvg If it&#39;s a means to an end, then please tell me what you find beautiful and precious in the world, so we can use it as means to our ends. How about if someone put your mother&#39;s diary in an ad for laxatives? Maybe you haven&#39;t ever shed sweat to make something, or learnt a difficult skill. @firusvg I don&#39;t see what I&#39;d be voting on or what the relevance of that is. I&#39;ll follow the Fediverse way and block you. I&#39;ve made my point, if you don&#39;t believe things are sacred, then we share no common ground. I hope you find something beautiful enough in life that it opens your eyes to respect for the work of others.

Had the sudden urge to try bamboo paper again, and it's beyond a joy. I tend to stick with plain, workhorse materials and let the inspiration come from my hands, but seeing the colour of the (cheap, gluey) ink shift with my movements was like nothing else.
