We've been having a lot of unseasonably perfect weather these last few weeks. Blue skies, nice temperatures... all that boring crap instead of our usual cold and foggy days. For #ThrowbackThursday... Yesterday's picture of a container ship sailing through the Golden Gate channel reminded me of a picture I took way back in 2007. 90 seconds of the 4th of July, taken from our side deck. Back again to 25th Street in the Mission, this time with a proper camera rather than the Polaroid. This is the work of Czech visual artist Adam Pizurny, known for his iconic digital art series "Projections." Pizurny specializes in virtual topology, using striped line patterns projected over human forms to create topographic, liquid-like illusions. Anyway, I think this is the best garage door ever... although I have a picture of a contender for that title that I will post tomorrow....

Reposting a photo from a 2013 San Francisco Pride celebration. I took this photo a few months after the 9th Circuit Court ruled California's ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional. It was a full 2 years later that the Supreme Court's Obergefell ruling legalized gay marriage across the United States. I wish my best to these two, wherever they are. I hope they are as happy as Chris and I are now. #photography #pride
