Whenever I see someone who’s just mad about everything, and consequently completely negative about everything, I just think “must be so miserable being you my good dude” and then take myself out of their presence. Feels so much healthier than gravitating towards them like I used to.

Right you cunts, I need to switch up my mastodon instance as the one I’m on is full of scammers and spammers, and keeps getting blocked by friends, so who do you recommend, if you’re following me you know who I am and what I post, and if you don’t, this is quiet time for you whilst the grown ups talk. By way of thanks here’s one of the pictures I send my wife of me doing a bad impression of Sawyer from Lost

Busy morning on the phone but I seem to have sorted the external pressures of house moving. Told the utilities our moving date, need to wait for my wife to be here for the broadband tho, organised Mans with Van too. Thing I’m most impressed with: due to our shifting moving date I negotiated with our letting agent to pay to the end of this month and then figure out how much of next month’s rent needs paying *after* we leave.

Haha, just saw a response from a couple of days ago to a post from nearly a year ago that was taking what I said SO literally whilst also taking the worst possible reading of what I meant that I thought it had to be a joke right through to the end, when I went, “oh”. Phone call from the letting agent, we were supposed to get the keys Tuesday so we could decorate Tuesday and Wednesday before the new carpets are fitted on Thursday, but the cleaners have arrived 3 days early and he’s now away this week so we get the keys tonight!

Phoned mum earlier, I’m full of a cold again for the second time in 4 weeks after two people in a month surprised me with a hug. “Can I give you a suggestion?” She asked and then without waiting said “have you thought about trying to boost your immune system?” I told her I’m doing everything that’s suggested and she said “so why’s your immune system so bad?” And distilled all the reasons down to “I’ve got PTSD and the stress part lowers your immune system” she seemed happy with that

@PetraPhoenix i’m so glad the work I’m doing with my therapist has let me accept that I can’t change her and just need to create distance. That’s made these interactions a lot less frequent
