I wish I could get a job that I actually enjoy. I spent years running pubs and was really good at it. Then I set up a brewery and was really good at it except for sales. Now I&#39;m rocking a job that pays just above minimum wage but below living wage. I can&#39;t afford to get a lease on a pub and I can&#39;t afford to start/restart my brewery

I cut my teeth in an Irish pub in Reading when I was 19. It was very lively, mostly good but occasionally scary. Chairs would fly on some of the more crazy nights. Then I worked at the Hobgoblin in Reading as an assessment manager. This pub was small but an absolute goldmine, it was never not busy. Off the back of that the company wanted me to run their pub in Bath. This place was taking a dive and full of junkies. We turned it around but were moved out in favour of the general manager&#39;s...

Thing is I come across as cantankerous or just plain miserable and grumpy. No pub business owner would ever hire me. However, when I ran my own pub it does work. Because I wouldn&#39;t give bigots an inch, because any hate speech got shut down people felt safe in my pub.

A billionaire cull is the only way forward. It can be achieved in multiple ways. A state could just nick their money to keep them below a billion A state could decide that 100 million is more than enough. Preferably a state would confiscate their money and use it to end world poverty and homelessness. And then put them in prison for heinous crimes against children as per the Epstein files.

Mastodon is good for tech people right? My pc won&#39;t start after latest windows update. Previously it always said something like hardware jumper removed no password possible on booting but now I can&#39;t even get anything to show on the monitor. I am tech incompetent and need help. Please boost to get my pc working again I really need it to work right now

As a child my grandma used to give me a box of broken biscuits that she got off the milkman. These were rejects from the biscuit factory but still ok. We&#39;re all broken biscuits but still Really tasty. (Or at least I am, if you think you&#39;re a whole tasty biscuit then go you)
