  #SolarUpdate We ran out of battery power overnight, for the first time since the 4th April 2026. We have spent 16 weeks off grid. In that entire time, we have imported just 60.1kwh of electric. That's an average of 0.5kwh per day or roughly 14p worth of electric. But we still pay 70p per day in the standing charge for electric.   TIL that the director Chad Stahelski, who helped write and directed the John Wick movie franchise. Was previously a stuntman and body double... and was the person who stood in for Brandon Lee to finish the 1994 movie The Crow after his accidental death during filming. May be uninteresting to most people, but the Crow is one of my fave 90's movies, and the John Wick franchise are pure unadulterated fun without any pretence of being anything other than a collection of great action sequences...

  Any medical people in the fediverse who can answer a question for me? If you know any, maybe ask them to take a look (or boost). Eating habits haven't changed, drinking habits haven't really changed aside from drinking a little extra during the hot weather.   I was in a charity shop earlier today, and looking through all of the DVD, Bluray, CD and Vinyl section. There were these two young girls there, mid teens. Scouring through and picking stuff out. One picked out a movie and showed it her friend/sister... and grinned and said... is that a good movie. I was standing between them, and just smirked and said... yup, it's really good. What followed was a really interesting conversation with them... and it was so refreshing to see the new generat...

  My sisters dog has discovered that the massive North facing stone nook and fireplace (they live in an old stone cottage converted from an old blacksmiths forge) is the coolest place in the house... and has made it his fave spot in this weather...
