Any medical people in the fediverse who can answer a question for me? If you know any, maybe ask them to take a look (or boost).
For the last 10 weeks or so, I've been feeling a little bloated all the time. Eating habits haven't changed, drinking habits haven't really changed aside from drinking a little extra during the hot weather. I try to get at least 2lts a day, 2.5 to 3lts during the severe heatwaves we've had recently.
The only thing that I can think of... is that I've been drinking out of an insulated water bottle most of the time over the last 10 weeks. Filled with a variety of drinks, both hot and cold... this water bottle has 3 caps, I'm using the one with a straw rather than just a flip top... the third is a closed lid with a handle.
So my question to those that understand how the body works better than I.
Can drinking 50-60% of your daily fluids through a straw, cause you to take in extra air that gets into your stomach and cause bloating?
I only thought about this today... so I'm about to stop using the bottle and switch to a cup/glass again.
But just wanted to know if it's possible.
I don't feel unwell at all outside of normal aches and pains for my age and my disability issues are pain related to back/knee/ankle along with my autism.
Answers on a postcard too... or comment down below.
