I guess I should stipulate, I'm not shitting on anthropomorphicized cartoon dogs generally - they're fine, I think, as a cartoon idiom - was just more thinking mutant talking dogs like Dynomutt or Scooby-doo, who both suck. Like, in the narrative, Pizza Dog is a DOG-dog.
And a very guh-boy.

And I will go into this more later but please understand, there is an existing, fairly unpowered, mundane character here that I ALREADY dug as MY GUY in the realm of insane superheroic mythology that a really good writer like Matt Fraction can take and can, perhaps wielding a similar frame of that character, make the character that much more resonant by artful, subpersonal storytelling. Like Matt Fraction may've liked the character for the same reasons I did. Even if maybe I DIDN'T KNOW that was why. Either way, good stories.
