And I will go into this more later but please understand, there is an existing, fairly unpowered, mundane character here that I ALREADY dug as MY GUY in the realm of insane superheroic mythology that a really good writer like Matt Fraction can take and can, perhaps wielding a similar frame of that character, make the character that much more resonant by artful, subpersonal storytelling. Like Matt Fraction may've liked the character for the same reasons I did. Even if maybe I DIDN'T KNOW that was why. Either way, good stories.

Not sure who cares about this but badass comic book writer Kelly Sue DeConnick randomly liked one of my mirror posts about Lucky the Pizza Dog over on bsky and, while I try not to fanboy overly, YAY HOLY SHIT. Stay tuned to this space for more sparse comic book ruminations from a not-super-extra-comic-book guy and also gleeful fanboying.
