It kinda feels like there should be a COVID remembrance day for those who have died and become disabled (and continue to die and become disabled) from that fucking disease. Maybe sometime in September to kick off the vaccine season. Or March-April to remember the start of lockdowns. Or November for when the first vaccines were released. Or whatever. Just seems like a pandemic that killed millions of people should be remembered.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange I agree, but I feel like if we're commemorating the dead and disabled, it should be from the first case contracted, not the vaccines. The vaccines are awesome, but they also mark the point where those lucky enough to not become (knowingly) disabled by it yet ceased to care about the rest of us.
