Did you know that if you calculate thiessen polygons for every stone circle on the island of Britain that you get a very pretty picture which tells you absolutely nothing relevant at all? Pretty though.

@postantiquarian@archaeo.social Actually, that's a rather attractive way to depict the relative density of stone circles in different areas. Now do all of Europe and West Africa ;-).

@postantiquarian@archaeo.social do you think the reason it skips over a lot of good farmland in SE England is 1) lack of decent stones to circle or 2) farmers over the years destroying evidence?
