Re that last from @pablolarah "Screen readers are not testing tools" - we know we have a number of users who use NVDA for accesibility testing, and we are glad to have you and glad to encourage you in your testing - which is exactly why I shared that. Despite the artcile name, Eric is not saying to NOT use screen readers for testing - but rather, to know WHEN screen reader testing is useful, and when another tool is a better choice

@NVAccess@fosstodon.org @pablolarah@mastodon.social It's one of those articles where you get into it and say "wait, people do this?" NVDA has been a "testing tool" for us in the same way that Chrome and Safari are testing tools. We treat it almost like an additional browser to test compatibility with, along with Voice Over and Orca. Screen reader testing isn't just "is this accessible?" It's also "is this a quality experience for these users?"
