@NVAccess@fosstodon.org @pablolarah@mastodon.social It's one of those articles where you get into it and say "wait, people do this?" NVDA has been a "testing tool" for us in the same way that Chrome and Safari are testing tools. We treat it almost like an additional browser to test compatibility with, along with Voice Over and Orca. Screen reader testing isn't just "is this accessible?" It's also "is this a quality experience for these users?"

    @mausmalone@mastodon.social @pablolarah@mastodon.social We do get asked about various ways of testing with NVDA which are specifically not ways we would recommend - eg wanting it to list what is and isn't accessible on a web page - so anything which helps direct people to improve how they use NVDA - or any other tool - in their testing or other daily use, then hopefully it is of value to someone :)
