I have to admit to being half temped by this #crowdfunding campaign for a low-cost low-power laser engraver - but there's a lot of smoke in the demo videos and no mention of any kind of safety features...

Keyboard and, of late, mouse maker Keychron has "opened" the design files for 83 of its models - kinda. They're all in a GitHub repo, you see, but they're "source available" - you can look at 'em for educational purposes, use 'em to make non-commercial mods and add-ons released freely to the community, but you can't do anything commercial.
