Know how the VBNMW libs love to snarl about 'apathetic' non-voters? THAT SHIT IS BY DESIGN. "A democratic political system usually requires some measure of apathy and non-involvement on the part of… a marginal population…. inherently undemocratic, [it nevertheless enables] democracy to function effectively. Marginal social groups, as in the case of the blacks, are now becoming full participants. Yet the danger of overloading the political system with demands… remains.’ " Oh sure, blame the victims for falling for the trap, for giving the system what it wants-- but the level of vitriol, the rage and contempt, as if the voting eligible population just rolled their eyes at civic participation because they're lazy ungrateful uncaring jackasses, just heaps more abuse on people who have been aggressively and deliberately disenfranchised by the cruelly manipulative institutions of oppression. 'Apathy' is a symptom of DESPAIR, and you can't fight that with insults. People will try to call all this a "conspiracy theory" but it's not a fuckin theory-- just like Project 2025, they explained their intentions very clearly and openly! And make no mistake, it's bipartisan. Even Carter-- yep, sweet kindly Jimmy Carter-- was obediently on board. (Rockefeller, I'll remind everyone, is one of the worst of the robber barons who brought us the Gilded Age.) The underlying program continues no matter who is in office, ever since the neoliberal/neocon coup. The rebellion of the 60s lost, in 1972. They named some streets after MLK and encouraged us to think we won even as they consolidated power and brought to bear new tools to ruthlessly undermine the celebrated gains of the Civil Rights Act-- and steadily fleeced the working class for $50 trillion over the next 50 years.
