Signed up for "Making Tax Digital." Wasn't tax already digital? Why did it need to be more digital than it was before?

@torgo are you a sole trader, or do you have a limited company? My accountants emailed me a handy thing which basically says: making tax digital doesn't apply to me because I'm a limited company director, and it's for sole traders and/or people who earn over £50k/year from property, and I'm neither of those.
